3. AI Processing and Your Data

3.1 How AI Translation Works

When you use our AI translation features, your content is processed as follows:

  • Your source text and context are sent to Large Language Model (LLM) providers for translation
  • If RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) is enabled, relevant existing translations may be included as context
  • Custom prompts you create are used to guide the translation style
  • Token usage is tracked for billing and plan enforcement
3.2 AI Data Retention and Third-Party Processing

Our practices: Goman Live does not use your translation content to train our own AI models. Your datasets and prompts remain under your control and are only used to provide context for your own translations.

Third-party AI providers: When you use AI translation features, your content is sent to third-party Large Language Model (LLM) providers for processing. These providers have their own data policies regarding how they handle and potentially use data sent through their APIs. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of our AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or others we may use) to understand their data practices.

Important considerations:

  • We use API access to AI providers, which typically has different (more privacy-focused) data handling than consumer products
  • We do not opt-in to data sharing programs with AI providers where such options are available
  • You should avoid submitting highly sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information through AI translation features
  • AI provider policies may change over time; we will update this policy if there are material changes affecting your data
3.3 AI Chat Feature

Conversations with our AI Chat assistant are processed to provide translation help and suggestions. Chat history is stored in your session and can be cleared at any time.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We work with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and hosting
  • LLM Providers: AI translation processing (OpenAI and similar)
  • Payment Processors: Secure payment processing

4.2 Shared Applications

When you share an application with other users, they will have access to the translation content within that application according to the permissions you grant (read, write, delete access to translations, datasets, prompts, etc.).

4.4 Business Transfers

  • Authentication: Secure authentication via Firebase Auth with support for social login providers

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Translation Content: Retained while your account is active; deleted upon account termination
  • Usage Analytics: Aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely; individual event data is retained for 12 months

  • Support Communications: Retained for 2 years for quality and training purposes
